Nigerians Bash Presidential Candidate For Posting Video Of Burnt Money Allegedly Owned By Tinubu

The presidential candidate of the National Interest Party, Eunice Atuejide, has come under fire for posting a video of burnt currency notes she claimed was owned by National Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.

The 40-year-old politician had taken to her Twitter handle on Saturday evening to share the video.

She tagged the 30-second video: The latest gist in town is that Jagaban Asiwaju Tinubu i.e. Tinubu’s money for electioneering bribe burnt up due to storage challenges in Boudillon. It’s looking more like all the forces are against APC keeping Lagos. It’s going to be a big time things on Saturday.

However, a political commentator and APC loyalist, Kayode Ogundamisi proved that the video was fake.

He said, “Madam “President” Eunice Atuejide, You just published a Fake News mah! Kind regards”

Ogundamisi tweeted:

Instead of apologising and deleting the video, Atuejide tweeted: “Thanks for the clarification. The gist was just so juicy I had to carry it. But I will publish this version immediately to correct the earlier one. Cheers man.”

But some Nigerians took offence at her response, accusing her of deliberating sharing news she knew was fake.
