Nigerians have taken to social media to react to yet another video of the Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, allegedly receiving bribes from contractors in dollars.

In the new 2.20-minute video, Ganduje could be seen conversing with another man, whose face was not shown, in Hausa while receiving bundles of dollar bills and keeping same under a table.

The Daily Nigerian, which published the video, has accused Ganduje of collecting more than $5 million from contractors executing state-government projects in the state.

According to the online publication, Ganduje collects between 15 and 25 percent of the total contractual sum as kickback from every contract.

The Kano State Government however described the videos as “cloned”, blaming its release on enemies out to tarnish the good name of the governor.
