Nigerians react to man's 10 million naira apology to his girlfriend -

Relationships may have their ups and downs, but what could possibly warrant a 10 million naira apology? This question has been on everyone’s mind since pictures of a lady posing with a 10 million naira cheque and several other gifts, including a box filled with dollars, went viral on social media.

With the state of the country’s economy, it is unfathomable for someone to spend so much on an apology. So many cannot help but ask, “what exactly did he do?”

Social media is saturated with hilarious assumptions as to what could have been the offence. Others are in disbelief and have dismissed the pictures as ‘clout chasing’, which seems plausible with the accessibility of props and the internet popularity drunkenness of the youth of this generation.

However, it does appear to be a publicity stunt by a surprise planning business in Lagos (sorry guys, it appears this is staged).
