Nigerians Slam Federal Government For Blaming Jonathan Instead Of Seeking Out Solutions

1 Min Read

Nigerians are not amused by the position of the Federal Government on pressing national issues bordering on inability of millions of citizens to procure fuel for cars and generators due to scarcity of fuel and refusal of officials to sell fuel in kegs for those whose generators rely on petrol, despite stable and/or constant electricity.

The foreign currency exchange rate is another issue drawing the anger of Nigerians against the government due to draconian FX restrictions and other clampdown against individuals and businesses.

The APC-led Federal Government instead of articulating a clear chart to progress, has passed the buck to the Jonathan administration blaming the former government for fuel scarcity and the poor FX exchange rat in two separate press releases from the Presidency and his cabinet yesterday.

Many Nigerians are not amused by this development.

This led to a new trend on Twitter with Nigerians inventing the hashtag #letsblameGEJ to highlight the lack of vision and/or ability of this government to solve their pressing issues.
