#JusticeforBarakat is currently trending on twitter as Nigerians have decried yet another case of rape and murder of a young girl in Ibadan.
18 yr old Muslimah student, Barakat Bello was raped and murdered in her home at Akinyele, Ibadan on Tuesday evening.
According to reports from Sahara Reporters,the father of the young student, found the corpse of his daughter around within the compound of his house and upon the examination discovered that she was raped and murdered.

Barakat was an ND1 student in the department of science laboratory technology at the Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Moore Plantation, Akpata Ibadan.
The rape and murder of Barakat comes on the heel of the rape and murder of Uwaila Omozuwa, a 100 level student of the University of Benin, in Benin city.
Father of the deceased Kasimu Elepo told local newsmen that he was absent from the House when the incident occurred.
He stated that the body was first discovered by her sister in a pool of blood when she returned from Quaranic lessons.
“I was not at home when the incident happened. The younger sister was not at home too, she went for Quaranic lessons but when she returned home, she saw her at the back of the house with deep cuts all over her body. She had been raped and killed.
“Somebody called me on the phone that I should come home but he refused to tell me what happened. When I got home, I saw that my daughter had been raped and stabbed to death.” He said.
