Philippe Coutinho’s rumoured transfer to Barcelona appears a done deal, courtesy of a Nike gaffe.

The popular sport giants, who design Barcelona’s kit, had fired speculations after releasing a Barcelona jersey with Coutinho’s name on it.

Nike sponsors Coutinho and he wears their boot.

The post, which has since been taken down, was captioned: “Philippe Coutinho is ready to light up Camp Nou.”

The 25-year-old had handed in a transfer request in August after a Barcelona approach, which was turned down by Liverpool.

Although Barcelona approached the Merseysiders with a bid of £100 million, the Anfield side rebuffed the offer two more times.

However, Coutinho is believed to be keen on a move.
