The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has announced a revision of prices for its range of products and services, marking the first adjustment in over a decade.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, May 1, and signed by Kayode Adegoke, Head of the Corporate Communications Unit, the Commission said the new pricing regime was introduced to reflect current operational costs and industry realities.
NIMC explained that the upward price review is intended to preserve the quality and integrity of its services while ensuring they remain accessible and affordable to the public.
“The new prices will take effect immediately,” the statement read.
The Commission also issued a strict warning to all Front-End Partners (FEPs) to comply fully with the newly approved rates. Any partner found charging above the official prices risks sanctions, including possible license revocation.
Reaffirming its commitment to transparency and public interest, NIMC encouraged Nigerians to report any cases of overcharging. Complaints can be directed to the Inspectorate and Enforcement Unit via email at [email protected] or by calling 08155015388.
The price review comes amid growing demand for digital identity services across Nigeria, including National Identification Numbers (NIN) registration, card reissuance, and data correction processes.
