The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Ayuba Wabba has said that the body will review the current strike action next week if the government is ready to discuss.

The Federal Government had already made attempts to dialogue with the NLC, but the labour union stormed out of the meeting allegedly due to the Federal Government going behind their backs to obtain a court injunction from the NIC.

Wabba said this on a radio show on Raypower. He said that next week, the NLC will meet to assess the effect of the strike action and see if the Federal Government is willing to change its stance on the pricing of fuel at N145.00.

Wabba also denied reports that the NLC and the FG were going back to the negotiating table maintaining that each party still held the convictions they had before going into the initial meeting.

The NLC President is unsure as to when the review will take place, but is sure that it will be next week.
