Super Eagles forward Nnamdi Oduamadi has announced the death of his father, Pa Vincent Oduamadi.
The Sanliurfaspor of Turkey star took to his Instagram page to break the sad news on Wednesday.
In a post on his Instagram page, he said: “RIP Dad.”
Oduamadi first came to limelight in the Super Eagles’ 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup match again Tahiti, a match in which scored a hat-trick to help the team to a 6-1 mauling of the Oceanian champions.
He was said to be the only surviving son of his father, who was confirmed dead in the early hours of Wednesday.
He is expected to be granted leave on compassionate grounds to attend to his father’s funeral arrangements.
