Esther Nnamdi-Ogbue, a former Managing Director of NNPC in Abuja, has been robbed of cash and jewelery worth $6million by her cook.

The cook, who is identified as Gabriel Segbedji, is a national of Benin Republic.

He was said to have been working for her for some time before absconding with the property along with his employer’s Toyota Camry.

The devastated Mrs Nnamdi, was reluctant to report the theft for fear of being probed on the origins of the money as she is already under investigation by the EFCC.

Mrs Nnamdi, who served as a Managing Director of the NNPC, is reported to have employed the cook from the recommendation of a friend.

According to reports, Mrs Nnamdi’s close friend, Toke Benson, had advised her to employ Segbedji.

Mrs Nnamdi is devastated with the incident especially as her daughter’s wedding has been scheduled to hold later this month in London.
