US President Donald Trump has again repeated that he is one of the most hardworking presidents in American history.

Trump on his official Twitter handle said, “No President ever worked harder than me (cleaning up the mess I inherited).”

He said that when he took over as the president, the security apparatus was depleted, noting that the number of international threats and war were also on the table.

He further tweeted, “When I took over as President, our country was a mess. Depleted military, endless war, a potential war with North Korea, V.A., High Texas and too many regulations, border immigration and health care problems and much more.”

Trump also defended his use of “Executive Time”.

He said that he had no choice but to work for long hours when he came on board to ensure that the various challenges were surmounted.

This came after a leak of the President’s daily schedules, published by Axios showing that in recent months he has spent most of his time in unscheduled time allegedly watching television, making phone calls and reading newspapers.

Trump in a swift reaction had argued that his use of Executive Time should not have been reported negatively.

He further tweeted that, “When the Executive Time was used, I am working, not relaxing. In fact, I work more hours than almost any past President.”

The White House has also commenced internal investigation into the source of the leakage of the President’s private schedules.
