Nobel Laureate Calls FG’s Good Governance Project A Scam

1 Min Read

Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, on Friday in Benin City, Edo State, berated the ongoing Good Governance Tour that is being led by the Minister of Information, Labaran Maku, describing it as a scam.

This is coming a day after the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) called for the stoppage of the tour.

Professor Soyinka, who stopped at the Oba Oguola NUJ Press Centre while inspecting the historical Benin Moat on the fence of the NUJ secretariat, told anxious journalists, who wanted to know  his mission in the state, that he was happy that Oshiomhole told the leader of the Good Governance Tour, Labaran Maku, “to go to hell.”

It will be recalled that Edo State governor, Adams Oshiomhole, had earlier stated the resolve of his government not to bankroll the Edo leg of the Good Governance Tour by saying that it was a waste of public fund.
