Veteran Nollywood Actor Femi Oyewumi Dies Aged 51

Veteran Nollywood actor, Prince Femi Oyewumi popularly known as Laditi has died at the age of 51.

Laditi, a prince of Soun of Ogbomoso, died in the early hours of Friday after he was rushed to the hospital Thursday night.

Laditi was said to have been suffering from chronic back pain for some months before his death. Those who watched him in movies like Aye toto; Koto Orun; Ija eleye and so on won’t find it hard to remember a character called Laditi and his brilliant roles in the film industry.

Femi Oyewumi, an actor and a producer who is a specialist in stage play, epic and historic film, started his carrier in the ’80s. Ajoke Kosemani, a Nollywood actress close to the actor, described his death as a great loss to the movie industry in Nigeria.

Meanwhile, former Paris Saint-Germain footballer and French defender, Jordan Diakiese has also died at the age of 24.

Diakiese’s current club, French amateur outfit A.S. Furiani Agliani announced the news in a post on social media on Friday morning.

It is believed he died in Paris on Thursday afternoon, however the cause of death is unknown.

Diakiese attended the academy at PSG and made several appearances in the UEFA Youth League during the 2013/14 season, though he never made a senior appearance for the club. He also represented France at youth level.
