Yusuf a known cult member has allegedly died after a fight with some guards in Kwara State.

Yusuf, who was popularly called ‘Indomie’, was a leader of the Eiye Confraternity.

A resident who wished to remain anonymous revealed that Yusuf was killed by bullets he allegedly fired at the guards.

He said, “We were told that he was coming from somewhere late in the night and was sighted by night guards, who challenged him to know where he was coming from at that time.

“In the process, an argument ensued and ‘Indomie’ removed a gun and shot at the night guards but the bullets returned and hit him in the chest. He died instantly at the scene.

“He was a member of a notorious cult and has been wreaking havoc on our community. We had tried in the past to put him behind bars. But to our surprise, after his arrest and arraignment in court, he would resurface. That has always been the case here.

“People will, at least, be relieved of the fear that his presence caused.”

The Kwara State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Okasanmi Ajayi, in a telephone interview with our correspondent, confirmed Yusuf’s death.

Okasanmi said, “We have a report that he is dead. We are investigating the circumstances that led to his death.”
