NSCDC Arrests Alleged Traffickers Who Sold Nigerian Girl Into Slavery in Lebanon

Abike Dabiri, Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission has disclosed that the persons involved in trafficking a Nigerian girl sold into slavery in Lebanon, has been arrested.

Three people (Two Nigerians and One Lebanese) are currently in the detention of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for their involvement in selling a Nigerian girl, Ajayi Omolola into slavery.

Earlier, a viral video showed a Nigerian girl crying for help, lamenting how she has been sold into slavery in Lebanon.

The Nigerian lady identified as Ajayi Omolola claimed she was lured to Lebanon.

According to her, she went to Lebanon after she was told she would earn an attractive salary for teaching English language.

Unknown to her, it was a trap to sell her into slavery.

Abike Dabiri-Erewa has confirmed the alleged traffickers’ arrest in a post via her verified Twitter account.

The alleged trafficker has been arrested and will be handed over to NAPTIP. The family of the lady have been traced.. Kwara Gov is personally on the matter. All hands on deck to ensure the trafficked lady returns.
