NSCDC warns vandals in Zone G to find alternative job or risk arrest, prosecution

The Ekiti State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has sealed off five petrol stations for alleged illegal activities including selling Premium Motor Spirit, alias known as petrol, above the government-approved pump price.

The command also arrested two alleged black marketers who stored over 600 litres of petrol and selling to hapless individuals at outrageous prices.

These were identified as Funmilayo Kolawole and Samson Oyedokun.

In a Friday statement by the NSCDC Commandment in Ekiti, Raji Ibrahim, which was signed by the Public Relations Officer of the State Command, Tolu Afolabi, the NSCDC said owners of some of the affected petrol stations had been arrested.

The stations affected were listed as: : John Olatunde Filling Station, Yokoto Filling Station and Famak Filling Station in
Emure Ekiti, for allegedly selling petrol at N120 per litre instead of the approved N86.50.

Others are: FOS Oil and FMO Oil, both located in Ise Ekiti, Ise/Orun Local Government Area of the state.

According to the statement, the statement commandant affirmed the command’s commitment to ensuring that the Federal Government directive on the pump prices are enforced in their domain.
