A 30-year-old nursing mother with her baby strapped on her back was, on Tuesday, crushed by a black KIA jeep in Delta State.

The incident occurred at Kogbodi roundabout along Isoko Road in Ughelli North Local Government Area of the state.

A witness said she was strapping her baby girl on her back and pushing her cart loaded with detergents and other items for sale when the incident happened.

He added that the vehicle rammed into her from behind and crushed her against the barricade of the roundabout.
The vehicle was said to be on top speed, but lost its brake when the driver wanted to apply it.

When journalists got to the scene of the incident, sympathisers were seen carrying the remains of the woman from the accident spot.

Miraculously, her baby girl only sustained minor injuries after she was thrown away from her mothers’ back.

The baby was taken to an undisclosed hospital for medical attention after she was given first aid treatment.
