NYSC set to spend N50m for radio, N127m to clean headquarters

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has made a budget of N127m for the cleaning of their headquarters in Abuja and another N50m was budgeted for the equipment of a new radio station.

According to the Nation, the NYSC budget was included in 2020 budget proposal presented by President Muhammadu Buhari to the National Assembly.

They noted that the scheme also plans to spend N208, 800, 055 million on office stationery and computer consumables.

NYSC then proposed N26, 870, 000 million to purchase residential furniture and N70, 000, 00 million for rehabilitation and repairs of office building.

NYSC also budgeted N83, 850. 000 million to purchase three new Hilux vans under its capital expenditure and N20, 000, 000 million for the furnishing of six area offices. Another N70, 000, 000 million was also budgeted by the scheme for the renovation of a printing press in Kaduna state.

They also noted that NYSC has nine new projects that it plans to execute under the 2020 appropriation document.
