A National Youth Service Corps member, Mr. Osaro Edeghonghon, has been gunned down by unknown gunmen at a bar along the Benin-Auchi road at about 9.00 am.
The murder comes after an aide to the Chairman of Esan‑West Local Government Area was murdered by a woman at the same bar some 14 days ago.
The victim was accosted by the gunmen on his way leaving the drinking bar and tried to make a run for it before he was chased and shot by the assailants.
He was left in a pool of his own blood. The father of the victim has appealed to the State Commissioner of Police, Folusho Adebanjo to ensure that the perpetrators of the act are brought to book.
