Few days after Kabaka took to the internet to dare Obaseki to come and demolish his Hotel in Benin, Obaseki’s convoy suffered a fatal accident that claimed the lives of 7 people.
According to report gathered by Lailasnews, the accident happened at Ehor Village, which is the headquarter of Uhuomwode Local Government Council of Edo.
Some people may take this a no mere coincidence, just few days after Kabaka had publicly warned Obaseki to leave his property alone. Although, this is mere speculation, as no one has confirmed the connection of the accident with Kabaka.
Although, according the Edo State Government, 7 people were confirmed dead in the accident, which involved the advance Protocol Team of Governor Obaseki, this accident took place on Saturday.
Obaseki Convoy was on their way to Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, for the Convocation ceremony of the University. It was in the course of the journey, that they were involved in the accident, where three survivors were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.

According to reports, it was a good citizen that came to the help of the three survivors fro the accident that happened to Obaseki’s convoy.He rushed the survivors to Accident Victims Association of Nigeria Medical Centre.
In a statement that was released by Obaseki’s special adviser on Media and Communication Strategy, Mr. Crusoe Osagie, Obaseki sent his heart felt condolences to the families of the 7 people that were lost in the accident. Obaseki also promised to give the families of the victims all the necessary support needed to help ease their pain a little.
