Many believed the loan was a bad idea on the side of Manchester United, however, Odion Ighalo wasted no time in silencing doubters by scoring four goals in eight performances.

Due to his amazing performance, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has considered making the move permanent by purchasing Odion for a huge sum of £20m.

But that decision was made before the coronavirus pandemic hit and club finances are set to be hit in a way they never have before this summer.

Odion Ighalo was valued at £15m when he first arrived on deadline day in January for a loan fee of £3m, and United were ready to pay it.

However, during an Instagram Live session, Neville, advised Ole Gunnar Solskjaer against spending that amount on the striker.

According to Neville, the ex-Watford player is not worth the £20m his parent club is asking for him.

Neville said: “Is ighalo worth £20m?

“Probably not in this market. He may have been if he continued before scoring goals but you probably don’t need now to spend £20m.”
