ODSFA to host secondary schools U-15 football tourney

The Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA) says it is ready to host the maiden U-15 Secondary School Champions League in 18 local government areas of the state.

The agency’s Executive Director, Dapo Ajibade, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Akure that the league had been scheduled for April 22 to May 27.

He said the initiative was aimed at restoring football’s lost glory at the secondary schools level in the state which, he noted, was the bedrock of football.

“Unlike other football tournaments where discovered talents are neglected, the agency led by John Ola Mafo has mapped out plans to ensure that talents discovered are well nurtured.

“We want to discover talents, not only from the streets, we are going back to our secondary schools to discover and nurture them,’’ Ajibade said. (NAN)
