Ogun State Governor proposes creation of additional 37 LCDAs

The Executive Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosu has requested the State House of Assembly to grant the request to create 57 more Local Government Council Development Areas, LCDA.

Reading the letter by the State Governor to the house, the Speaker, Suraju Adekambi said the request was in pursuance of the government’s efforts to meet the needs of the state citizens and inhabitants.

The Governor, in the letter said, the need to create more LCDAs arose from the plan of the government to bring development closer to the people.

A part of the letter read; “I forward herewith the list of the existing and new Local Council Development Areas, totalling 57 in all for your kind consideration in this regard.”

At present, Ogun State has a total of 20 local government areas, which translates that the Governor of the state is proposing an additional 37 LCDAs.
