Families of Ojuelegba Crash Victims Sue Lagos State Govt, FRSC

Five family members of the victims of the Ojuelegba crash has sued Lagos state government, Federal Road Safety Commission and others for a sum of N10 billion.

Joined as defendants are the Lagos State Attorney General, the state public works corporation, Motor Vehicle Administration Agency, Attorney General of the Federation, Federal Ministry of Works, the driver and owner of the ill fated trucks, Wasiu Adeleke and Kilani Ojo Adeyanju.

The applicants in the suit are Umar Abdulwahab, Usman Sulaiman, Ismala Maikankan, lbrahim Ibrahim and Sulaiman Umaru, who are all family members of the victims.

Last September, a 20 feet container loaded with cement fell from a truck at Ojuelegba Bridge and killed three people

The suit was initiated by Norrison I. Quakers, SAN and Moyosore Onigbanjo SAN on behalf of the plaintiffs.
