Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has presented a car and a cash gift of N1 million to the best Government House staff, Mrs Blessing Ogbuefi, as a way of motivating civil servants in the state to be diligent and committed to their duties.
This happened at an assessment programme organised for Government House staff in the state capital, Owerri.
At the event, the governor reiterated the government’s commitment to the welfare of workers and assured them that the state would continue to reward hardwork and industry.
While maintaining that the government had paid workers’ salaries up to December, he stated that he would continue to boost the workers’ morale with initiatives aimed at encouraging them.
The recipient of the award, Ogbuefi, who works in the Security Unit, expressed her appreciation to the state government for the gifts and promised to continue to put in her best in the performance of her duties.
