Hours after kidnapped Chief Olu Falae was freed, the Nigeria Police has revealed the role Inspector General of Police, Solomon Arase, played in securing his release.

Former Secretary to the Federal Government, Falae was released on Thursday after spending four days in the den of kidnappers who abducted him from his farm on Monday.

According to Force Public Relations Officer, Ag ACP Olabisi Kolawole, the IGP moved in some technical teams to reinforce the efforts of the Ondo State Police Command and coordinated both land and aerial search operations.

Stating that the IGP coordinated the team that found the former Presidential candidate, Kolawole said the team combed the nooks and cranny of the whole Ondo state before Falae was rescued in Owo.

The first ever female FPRO said the septuagenarian was hale and hearty and had been reunited with his family.

She equally said that the police will leave no stone unturned in making sure that the perpetrators of the heinous crime are brought to justice.

The IGP, she stated, has promised that “those who think Nigeria is lawless should have a rethink as the Nigeria Police Force and other sister agencies are everywhere to deal decisively with those miscreants who intend to test the capabilities of the Force.”
