Senate Minority Leader, Biodun Olujimi, has lashed out at Ayodele Fayose  for allegedly campaigning against her reelection, adding that the former governor can’t stop her from returning to the senate.

The Peoples Democratic Party  lawmaker, who represents Ekiti South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, implored her supporters “not to be distracted by a mere noise and ranting of an ant who thinks he is an elephant”.

Speaking on a live radio in Ado Ekiti on Friday, Fayose, urged voters in Ekiti South   not to vote for the lawmaker in the February 16 National Assembly election.

Responding to the ex-governor’s action, Olujimi, in a statement by her  Special Assistant on Media, Chief Sanya Atofarati, said, “Fayose is being haunted by his wicked and failed past. It is sad and shameful that a (former) governor who could not produce his successor in an election despite the resources available to him is living on past glory. Senator Olujimi is a tested product that nobody can destroy nor distaste.”

In a related development,  the Leader of the PDP Caucus in Ekiti State House of Assembly and Deputy Speaker, Posi Omodara, accused Fayose of having a hand in the suspension of seven members  of the House on Friday.

He  alleged that  the State Working Committee “embarked on the illegal exercise only to satisfy their paymaster”.

It will be recalled that the spokesman for the party in the state, Jackson Adebayo, has said “the SWC had suspended the Deputy Speaker and six others for allegedly  collaborating with All Progressives Congress lawmakers to punish PDP members and partaking in the suspension of council chairmen and councillors who are PDP members.”
