Ondo Election Update: Vote count ongoing as Jegede, Akeredolu Deliver their Units

Results are beginning to trickle in from polling units across the state after voting ended at 2.00pm.

Early results indicate that both Jegede and Akeredolu are doing well in their strongholds. As results come in from Oke’s Southern Senatorial stronghold, we will update the readers.

APC is leading in many polling units across the four local governments in Akoko and Owo Local government, considered his stronghold. Jegede of PDP is giving a good show in the two local governments in Akure where he comes from  and doing very well in the two Ondo Local Governments, where incumbent governor Mimiko hails from.

However, Akeredolu is showing remarkable competition in some units in Akure. For instance, APC won in a unit in Ilekun, Oda road on the outskirts of Akure.

Some of the results are listed below:

Unit 13, Ward 4 polling booth in Akure south LGA, PDP 116, APC 134, AD 72.

Ward 07, Unit 20 Ondo west LGA. The result states: AD 15, APC 40, PDP 176.(Mimiko’s ward)

Unit 6, Ward 10 Akure south LGA, PDP had 100 votes, APC had 115 while AD came third with a distant 63 votes.

Unit 6, St Luke CAC Primary School Ward 5 in Owo(Akeredolu’s Unit),: APC- 199 PDP -7 AD -2

PDP’s Jegede has delivered his polling unit, winning with 184, APC 77, AD 32. In Unit 2, Ward 7, PDP polled 50, APC 38, AD 24. 2.48pm’ –

Unit 1, Ward 7: PDP 47, APC 47, AD 17.

Ondo west ward 11 unit 8: PDP… 134 Apc….. 70 AD… 77 SDP.. 1

Edo lodge junction…Unit 11, Ward 4..Akure: AD 101 PDP 150 APC 159
