Ondo Govt Declares Tuesday Public Holiday ahead of President Buhari’s visit

Ondo state government under the administration of Governor Olarotimi Akeredolu  has declared Tuesday, Feb 25, 2020 public holiday for state civil servants.

 

This would enable residents troop out in their numbers to give President Buhari a rousing welcome as he is scheduled to commission major projects to mark Akeredolu’s 3rd year in office.

 

A circular signed by Remi Olabode, Ondo state Head of service conveyed the public holiday notice.

 

Meanwhile,  Donald Ojogo,  Ondo state commissioner for information and orientation reacting to the development said,

“Governor Akeredolu, while granting the approval, says the public holiday is necessary for the state to welcome the President, who is expected to arrive in the state to inaugurate two key legacy projects, the Ore Industrial Hub and the Ore Inter-change.

 

“These are part of activities marking the third anniversary of the administration.

“The governor expresses appreciation to God for the journey thus far even as he enjoins all to take advantage of this period to participate fully in the series of activities lined up for the anniversary celebrations.”
