Ondo State House of Assembly Allegedly Besieged by Thugs

The Ondo State House of Assembly has allegedly been invaded a crowd of political thugs in buses and cars.

According to a report by Punch, the crowd was massed at the gate of the Assembly complex were there seemed to be a stand off with security agents on duty.

The security personnel including the police and civil defense mounted road blocks at the entrance and did not let anything through without proper scrutiny.

The presence of the crowd in the area sent residents panicking, as scores of vehicles belonging to the thugs were seen packed on the side of the road leading to the Ondo State Assembly complex.

Reports from local sources say, the invasion is connected with the division among Ondo State lawmakers in the house and the crowds had come for some targeted members of the House.

There has been no reaction from the state government at the time this report was made.
