Brazilian football superstar, Neymar has lost €1 million (appr. N800 million) in one hour to online casino gambling.
Daily Mail reports that the 31-year-old Paris Saint-Germain forward, who earns €3.6 million monthly, played online casino which he streamed on his Twitch channel.
Though he is more known for his love of poker, Neymar, who is injured for the rest of the season, often tries his luck in online games on his Twitch platform.
As the reality of the €1 million loss set in, the former Barcelona star pretended to cry as a mock Titanic theme began to play – music which is often used on social media as a meme for moments of sadness.
However, the mock emotions only lasted for few seconds as his crying turned into laughter, before he shouted out in anguish – putting his fingers in his mouth.
Globo Esporte reports that one of his fellow players in the background could be heard saying Neymar ‘went from a million to zero in 60 minutes’.
Neymar then joked that he was going to put the video of the moment on YouTube.
