Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has said that National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adams Oshiomhole looks, reasons and behaves like a monkey.

The controversial ex-minister made this known in a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Saturday morning.

The former Culture Minister also accused Oshiomhole of “insolence and pernicious lies”.

While Fani-Kayode did not disclose the reason for the vitriol against the former Edo Governor, Oshiomhole has been in the news recently for attacks directing at some politicians that recently defected from the APC to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Reacting to the defection of Senate President Bukola Saraki, Oshiomhole said that, “But whatever is the reason, we can defect from the party but we can’t defect from Nigeria. The only thing is that there are other consequential issues that every man or woman of honour who had taken such decisions would be expected to follow through.

“I mean you should not collect a crown that belongs to a family and wear it on behalf of the family if for your personal reasons which he has enumerated that he has gone to another family.

“It is just a matter of honour to leave the crown in the house that the crown belongs to.”

In a June 27 reaction to the defection of Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, the APC chairman said, “I am relieved as national chairman, and I believe that the leadership of the party in Benue is also relieved that Ortom has left the party and returned to the club he belongs.”

Addressing APC supporters at the Benin Airport on Friday, Oshiomhole urged Nigerians to support the APC and President Muhammadu Buhari to root out the corrupt politicians that have sat on their commonwealth for long.

In the statement believed to have been directed at the defectors from the party, he said, “Working together with President Buhari, we will ensure that the government will not focus on the welfare of the few at the expense of the majority. The government will ensure that those who work have something to show for their labour.

“We must support the President and the APC to remove all those looters, who believe it is their birthright to continue to loot and those who say that their purpose in government is for juicy appointments and not for the welfare of the people.”
