Osimhen Agrees Three-Year Deal with Al-Hilal, Snubs Chelsea and Manchester United

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen is set to join Saudi Pro League giants Al-Hilal, dealing a major blow to Premier League sides Chelsea and Manchester United who had been eyeing the prolific forward.
According to Saudi newspaper Al-Riyadh, Osimhen has reached a verbal agreement on a three-year contract with Al-Hilal, who are reportedly ready to trigger the €75 million release clause in his Napoli contract.

Osimhen, 26, spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Galatasaray after a proposed move to Chelsea collapsed late in the previous transfer window. During his time in Turkey, he delivered a stellar performance—scoring 36 goals in 40 appearances and playing a crucial role in Galatasaray’s league and cup double.
Despite strong interest from Manchester United and renewed links to Chelsea, Osimhen has now opted for a move to the Middle East. Al-Hilal are eager to finalize the deal quickly, with plans to include the former Lille striker in their squad for next month’s FIFA Club World Cup.
The move signals another marquee signing for the Saudi Pro League, which continues to attract top European talent with lucrative offers and growing global ambitions.
