Presiding Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo and his wife, Pastor Faith Oyedepo,  have impressed on their members the need to be “obedient” to tap from kingdom blessing.

The church leaders spoke at the church’s monthly leadership conference.

Oyedepo and wife’s exhortations have been interpreted on social media to mean a subtle endorsement of the 2023 presidential ambition of Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi, whose supporters call themselves “obidients”.

Obi recently paid a courtesy visit on Oyedepo at the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State and photos of the visit quickly went viral on social media.

In her teaching, Pastor Faith Oyedepo said that God in Isaiah 1:19-20 instructed Christians to be obedient to eat good of the land.

Reading the scripture, she said, “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land: But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it” (Isa. 1:19-20).

In similar fashion, Bishop Oyedepo enjoined members to be obedient to God’s instructions irrespective of circumstances.

He said, “To be obedient is better than sacrifice. Obedience may be costly but the end result is always priceless.

“When you live your life as a seed, its impact lives for generations after you”.
