Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has said that the All Progressives Congress victory in the 2015 General elections will have been impossible without the admirable leadership finesse demonstrated by the Party’s National Chairman, Chief John Oyegun.
Atiku said this during the occasion of Oyegun’s 76th birthday anniversary; he said “Oyegun “demonstrated admirable leadership finesse and sagacity that propelled the party to victory during the 2015 general election.
“I will always be proud of our leader who, despite all odds, led a formidable struggle to dislodge the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from power after 16 years of political dominance.
“This is an admirable record for which Oyegun deserves our respect. May God continue to grant him more wisdom, good health and long life in the service of Nigerians.”
Atiku noted that sustaining unity is the true test of any leader and that Oyegun has been able to achieve in the party.
He added that Oyegun has a lot of virtues that everyone can learn from because he is one of the finest and gentleman politicians he has ever known.
