Oyo State House of Assembly Speaker Dies Of Heart Attack

Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Michael Adeyemo, has died.

He reportedly died of heart attack, according to Tribune Online, quoting sources within the assembly.

Adeyemo, who became Speaker in 2015, represented Ibarapa east local government area until his death.

Born in the Adeyemo Family of Alaarun compound, Lanlate, Ibarapa East LGA in Oyo, he had his primary school education at IMG, Oke Ado, Ibadan and secondary school education at Celestial Church High School, Oke Ado, Ibadan.

He received a university first degree in Education Management from the University of Port Harcourt and Law from University of Ibadan in Law in 2004.

Before he joined politics in 2007, Adeyemo worked with Olujinmi and Akeredolu law firm as a lawyer.

The senator representing Kaduna Central senatorial district, Sen. Shehu Sani, condoled with the deceased’s family.

He tweeted, “I received the sad news of the death of Oyo speaker Hon Michael Adesina Adeyemo. Condolences to his family, the People and Government of Oyo state. May his soul Rest in Perfect Peace.”
