All hell nearly broke loose in Kaduna on Friday as a commercial bus driver reportedly lost control of his bus in a fit of epilepsy and rammed into a pedestrian, killing her instantly.
According to reports, the driver, who was employed in an inter-city bus service, was conveying commuters from the popular Central Market towards the Kakuri end of the metropolis when the bus lost control.
A witness said disaster was narrowly averted as the bus narrowly missed crushing several passers-by after it lost control from Jos roadside of Ahmadu Bello Way onto Gwandu road, The Nation reports.
While many commuters were reportedly injured in the ensuing commotion but survived, a young lady identified as a street beggar was not so lucky as she was crushed to death.
However the state command of the Federal Road Safety Commission (EFCC) denied any knowledge of the incident.
