It is no longer news that President Muhammadu Buhari ordered the payment of a new tranche of Paris Club refund to states.
This refund was done alongside the allocations to the states from the Federal Accounts Allocation Committee (FAAC).
The monies were paid to enable Nigerians enjoyed a better Yuletide, the Federal Government said.
A statement from the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, Idris Ahmed, which provided a breakdown of the figures, said the total payments amounted to N243, 795,465,195.20.
This is the third tranche of the payments.
