The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye says the divine asssignment given to him did not include participation in partisan politics.
The revered cleric explained that those trying to drag him into politics were therefore distracting him.
Adeboye spoke during a sermon at his church, an undated video of which is now making the rounds on social media.
Adeboye said he has never openly nor secretly told any member of the church whom to vote for.
“I’ve never said that this is the party you should belong to, and I will never say so,” he added.
The cleric popularly known as Daddy GO by his teeming followers explained that he has never done so because different political parties were “heavily” represented in the church.
He explained that he does not vote so as not to offend the different political interests represented in the church.
