Jerry John, a Pastor at the Living Faith Church Worldwide, on Sunday admonished Christians to always honour their parents in order to live long and well on earth.

John who made the plea on Sunday in Jos said that all Christians must adhere to the instructions of God.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the Taraba-based pastor who was on a visit to Jos, anchored on the church’s teaching series titled: “Open Doors.”
He read from the Bible’s Book of Proverbs Chapter 28 Verse 24 and Ephesians 6 Verses 1-3 , and vehemently begged Christians not to break the commandment.
“So many people are suffering in different places because they have refused to honoure both biological and spiritual parents.
“Some of you live in mansion while your parents are in the villages suffering from poverty; when they call you, intentionally you refuse to answer them, ”
“This is not good,” he said.
John said that God could not be mocked and whatsoever a man planted that also he would reap.
According to him, consequently, if a man refuses to care for his parents, he has closed the doors to his blessings.
He said that the prayers of parents are always potent and could get God’s attention always.
The Minister begged everyone to always relate well with their parents.
He, however, said that God wanted everyone to enjoy open doors in all facets of lives and called on anyone not in peace with their parents to go make peace with them.
