A South African Pastor has allegedly killed a girl after he placed a speaker on top of her in a bid to demonstrate God’s power. The girl allegedly died from her injuries.
To make matters even worse, the pastor blamed the girl and accused her of having little faith for she could not withstand a very simple task which then led to her death.
The Pastor, Lethebo Rabalango had organised a night of worship at his church in Polokwane where he was teaching about demonstration of power in which he emphasised that if Jesus walked on water, he too could do anything with faith.
He then called a girl from the choir and had her lie on her back before having ushers lift a heavy speaker and place on her stomach. The pastor claimed that the girl would not feel the weight.
He added even more pressure by sitting on the speaker, at this point the girl had passed out.
Some elders in the church had to carry her and give her first aid before she was revived. This didn’t last long though as she’d sustained a broken rib. She was then taken to a hospital where she died.
This yet another example of a shocking trend in which pastors try to demonstrate God’s power in the most ridiculous ways. It reminds one of the antics of Pastor Penuel who has been known to drive over his congregation members, ride them like horses and make them lie in freezers.
