Reports from THISDAY newspapers also revealed that although it remained unclear if the assailants were assassins or mere armed robbers, the assailants reportedly trailed the man of God all the way from Enugu till he parked in front of his church in Awka after which they descended on him.

A Church source who pleaded anonymity said the assailants had demanded the sum of N5million from the Pastor but he refused to hand it over; he offered the assailants 1 million instead which they also refused.
