For the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Patricia Etteh, life must go on. Many will recollect that the former legislator’s tenure as the Speaker of the lower House was fraught with controversies that eventually led to her exit.
Keeping a low profile afterwards, Etteh, who hails from Oyo State, withdrew from all social activities and did not deem it necessary to make a return to the social scene even after she was cleared of all corruption charges.
For those who are wondering what she has been up to lately, the country’s first female Speaker is now a student at the prestigious Buckingham University, United Kingdom. She is studying law. Incidentally, one of her course mates is the son of the former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Nuhu Ribadu. She is said to live in a posh apartment in Milton Keynes from where she commutes to and fro campus.
