“Pay your tax” – Lagos, Ogun govts approach BBNaija winner Laycon

The Lagos and Ogun State Governments are jostling for the taxes of BBNaija Lockdown, Olamilekan Agbeleshe, popularly known as ‘Laycon’.

In the show which ended on Sunday, the budding artiste won cash and other prizes totalling N85 million.

Taking to Twitter to congratulate Laycon on his victory, the Lagos Inland Revenue Service (LIRS) wrote, “Congratulations @itsLaycon winner @BBNaija Lockdown edition. More wins!! We look forward to seeing you in Y2021 as you #payyourtax.”

But shortly after the LIRS’s message, the Ogun State Inland Revenue Service followed with a message urging the reality star to pay his taxes to the state.

“The Ogun State Internal Revenue Service is delighted to congratulate one of our own in the State, Olamilekan Agbelesebioba, AKA @itsLaycon for emerging winner of @BBNaija Lockdown. We look forward to having a robust relationship with you in year 2021 as you pay your tax,” the service tweeted.

For winning the highly-followed show, Laycon, 26, walked away with N30 million cash and other gifts totally N55 million.

The gifts include an all-expense-paid trip to Dubai for two, a two-bedroom apartment, a Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) from Innoson Motors, a Scanfrost electronic makeover, one year supply of Pepsi Cola, one year supply of Munch It and Indomie noodles, and VIP tickets to watch the European Champions League final.
