PDP breaks silence on suspension of Oshiomhole as APC national chairman

Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has spoken on the suspension of national chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, saying it’s not concerned about the ruling party’s internal crisis.

Recall that Justice Senchi Z. Danlami of an FCT High Court has ordered the suspension of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole as national chairman of the APC.

Speaking on the development, the PDP through its national spokesman, Kola Ologbondiyan, said the pronouncement showed that APC has started ‘sinking.’

Ologbondiyan said: “It is the internal affairs of a sinking party and we are not part of that. It is an issue for them to deal with.”

Earlier, The Herald reported that few hours after the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole, the national working committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has approved the nomination of Waziri Bulama as the party’s acting national secretary.

The Herald gathered that the committee also approved the nominations of Abiola Ajimobi as the deputy national chairman (South) and Paul Chukwuma as the national auditor.

The announcement was contained in a statement released by the party’s national publicity secretary, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, on Wednesday night, March 4.

The statement read: “The decision was reached on January 14, 2020 during the meeting of the NWC at the party’s national secretariat.”
