Paul Onomuakpokpo, the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Olomu Ward 1 in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State is dead.
His death occurred around 7 pm on Wednesday, January 8, after gunmen reportedly laid an ambush for him along the Ogoni-Olomu road, intercepted him, shot him several times before he finally gave up the ghost.

His car was bartered with bullets by the assassins as the neighbourhood disclosed that they heard sporadic gunshots fired, possibly to ensure that assistance didn’t come from any angle.
