PDP chairman dies in German hospital

The Chairman of the Zamfara State Chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Ibrahim Mallaha, has died.

Publicity Secretary of PDP in the state, Alhaji Ahmed Farouq Shettima Rijiya disclosed this to journalists in Gusau.

He said Mallaha died on Monday in a German hospital after battling a protracted illness.

Yusuf Idris, Director-General to Governor Bello Matawalle on Media, Communications and Public Enlightenment also confirmed the news.

The PDP chairman had been managing a severe heart condition.

Idris disclosed that Mallaha succumbed to a heart attack.

He added that the party boss was on support machine over kidney related ailments when he died.

Mallaha became PDP Chairman in Zamfara in 2008 after decamping from the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP).

The deceased left behind four wives, many children, grand and great grand children.

A kingmaker in Gusau Emirate Council, he died at the age of 59.
