PDP Chieftains Visit Femi Fani-Kayode, Other Party Members In EFCC Custody

The Ahmed Makarfi-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday visited some of its party members in EFCC’s custody.

The party delegation of the National Caretaker Committee and other top members were led by the Chairman, Senator Ahmed Makarfi.

The delegation who visited members in EFCC’s custody includes: the PDP National Secretary, Senator Ben Obi; the National Publicity Secretary, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, the National Organising Secretary, Senator Abdul Ningi; a former Special Adviser to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Akin Osuntokun; cousin of former President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr. Robert Azibaola, Senator Ughesi and Hajiya Binta Kuraye.

The delegation, according to reports, arrived at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s office at around 2:30pm and met with former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode; former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro; former FCT Minister, Senator Bala Mohammed; and former Special Adviser to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan on Media, Dr. Reuben Abati.

The delegation, according to reports, encouraged the party faithfuls and expressed solidarity while condemning their “unwarranted detention.”

The visited embattled party members were reported to have expressed their gratitude to the delegation and the leadership for the visit.
