PDP Crisis: Sheriff, Makarfi, Ekweremadu, Mimiko In Peace Meeting

The National Chairmen of the two factions of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senators Ali Modu Sheriff and Ahmed Makarfi, have held a peace meeting in Abuja.

The meeting was held at the Taraba State Governor’s Lodge in Abuja, The Eagle Online reports.

Darius Ishaku, the Taraba State Governor, is the host.

The peace meeting has in attendance the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.

Also in attendance are some PDP governors, led by the Chairman of the party’s Governors’ Forum and Ondo state governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko.

Governor Mimiko had previously spoken about the divide in the party, stating that unless it was resolved, the party’s future would be in jeopardy.
