The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says it would respond to the conviction of suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen by the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT).

The Danladi Umar-led CCT convicted Onnoghen of false assets declaration and ordered him to be removed as CJN on Thursday.

The tribunal also ordered the forfeiture of funds found in the five accounts undeclared by Onnoghen in his assets declaration form to the Federal Government.

Also, the tribunal barred him from holding any public office for 10 years.

However, the PDP has promised to react officially to the court judgement.

The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Kola Ologbondiyan disclosed this on Thursday, Vanguard reported.

Ologbondiyan, who affirmed the PDP’s support for the anti-corruption fight, said, “We will react formally, that’s for sure.”
